Adrienne Smyth
Adrienne Smyth ( Adrienne Alexandra Smyth, née Lynch; born July 27, 1950 ) is a former British sprinter and middle-distance runner .
At the British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh in 1970 , she was eliminated over 800 m in the preliminary run and was seventh with the Northern Irish team in the 4 x 100 meter relay .
In 1978 she reached the semifinals at the Commonwealth Games in Edmonton over 400 m and 800 m.
She was Northern Irish Champion four times over 100 m or 100 yards (1967-1970), once over 220 yards (1967), four times over 400 m (1971, 1974, 1975, 1977) and seven times over 800 m or 880 yards (1968 -1972, 1975, 1977). In 1968 she was Scottish champion over 880 yards and in 1969 over 400 m.
