She then dropped out of several projects and concentrated on learning instruments such as trumpet , piano and drums . During this time I wrote my first own songs. In the process, she suffered tinnitus , which forced her to stop playing the drums and to pause musically for many years.

In 2001 Adwoa moved from Munich to Berlin . In the following years she worked in cafes, trained as a teacher and got to know the Berlin music scene. During her apprenticeship, she concentrated on writing songs again and performed them on small Berlin stages. In 2005 she founded the Adwoa Hackman Band .
