Aeverium is a German alternative metal band from Viersen , which is also traded under the collective term Gothic Metal due to its popularity in the black scene and its corresponding appearance .

history

Aeverium was founded in 2013 by singer Marcel “Chubby” Römer, guitarist Michael Karius and keyboardist Andreas “Anti” Delvos. At the time they were founded, all of them had already gained some experience in the music business and were thus able to inspire other band members for their demo recordings through contacts. The line-up was completed with Aeva Maurelle on vocals, Lars Dannenberg on bass and Klaus Radtke on drums. On January 24th, 2014, Aeverium made its live debut at the “Süchteln brennt” festival in Süchteln . This was followed by further appearances in Germany and the Netherlands as well as the production of the EP The Harvest , which contained the band's first four songs and was produced by Sander Gommans and Amanda Somerville .

In July of the same year, Aeverium won an internet vote for the M'era Luna Festival in Hildesheim , which enabled them to perform at the same festival . On October 23, 2014 the signing of a contract with the German label Out of Line was announced. This collaboration resulted in the debut album Break Out , released on March 27, 2015 . In July 2016, the drummer Klaus Radtke had to announce his departure due to time and private reasons. For the upcoming events he was first replaced by Bodo Stricker, who then became a permanent drummer in the band.

In October 2016, Aeverium were able to tour together with Kamelot as the opening act for the Haven Europe Tour Part III . Singer Aeva Maurelle was also allowed to take on the female part at Kamelot. In August 2017 the band performed at the Wacken Open Air in the Metal Church. For 2018 they were confirmed at the Wacken Winter Nights. In September 2018, Aeva Maurelle announced that she was leaving the band. Vanessa Katakalos was found to replace her.
