history

In 1943 the Finnish State Aircraft Factory started manufacturing aircraft engines . After the Second World War, the factory went to Valmet and began manufacturing diesel engines in 1946. Turbodiesels and engines with direct injection have also been built since the 1950s . The engines were installed in rail buses , tractors , the Sisu Pasi , diesel generators or motor pumps .

In 1986 an agreement was signed with Steyr Daimler Puch , which resulted in a new engine series in 1991. In 1994 the Valmet tractor factory was merged with the Sisu Group. In 1997, Sisu was again merged with Partek . In 2002 Partek was taken over by Kone , who sold Sisu Diesel to AGCO in 2003.

In 2008 the company name was changed from Sisu Diesel to AGCO Sisu Power and four years later to AGCO Power .

In 2010 , an engine plant was opened in Changzhou , China.
