Ageas Insurance International
Ageas Insurance International NV is a Dutch insurance group from Utrecht / Netherlands . It belongs to Ageas Holding (formerly Fortis Holding ).
Steven Braekveldt , who came from the ING Groep, has been CEO since December 1, 2007 .
In the 2008 financial year, premium income came to 4,102 million euros from life insurance and 1,228 million euros from property insurance. The former Fortis Insurance International had 4,718 employees at the end of 2008. Premium income is particularly high in Portugal (2,238 million euros), China (1,850 million euros), Luxembourg (1,033 million euros), Malaysia (435 million euros), Thailand (358 million euros) and Hong Kong (282 million euros) . - Germany
The Ageas Germany Lebensversicherung AG in Goettingen also belonged to the Fortis Insurance Asia. In October 2011 the sale of the subsidiary to the private equity fund Augur Capital was announced. After separating from Ageas, it now operates as myLife life insurance .
- France
Ageas France is active in France. More than 200,000 customers are looked after by more than 200 consultants in 30 offices. The sum insured is over EUR 3,400 million and the premiums over EUR 335 million (as of December 31, 2009).
- Great Britain
The Ageas (UK) Ltd. (formerly Fortis UK Ltd. ) in Great Britain has over 7.6 million customers and over 4,000 employees. The former Fortis UK announced on June 25, 2009 a cooperation with Tesco Personal Finance , a subsidiary of the supermarket chain Tesco . The cooperation is intended to raise contributions of around £ 500 million or around 584 million euros annually and create around 1,500 new jobs.
- Luxembourg
Ageas Insurance International has a stake of exactly one third in Cardif Lux Vie , a life insurer in Luxembourg. The company was created in early 2012 from the merger of Fortis Luxembourg-VIE SA , the life insurance division of Ageas and BGL BNP Paribas in Luxembourg, with Cardif Lux International , the life insurer of BNP Paribas in Luxembourg.
The property insurance division Fortis Luxembourg-IARD SA was sold to La Bâloise on October 6, 2009 for EUR 23 million.
- Portugal
At the beginning of 2005, what was then Fortis Insurance International founded a joint venture with Millenium BCP of Banco Comercial Português (BCP) in Portugal under the company name Millenniumbcp Fortis Grupo Segurador . This was changed in the course of the renaming of the insurance activities of Fortis Holding in Ageas in Millenniumbcp Ageas Grupo Segurador . This has the following insurance brands:

Ageas Insurance Company (Asia) Limited in Hong Kong was acquired by Pacific Century Insurance Holdings Limited (PCI) of Pacific Century Regional Developments Limited (PCRD) in mid-2007 for HKD 3.5 billion .
- China
China has a joint venture with Taiping Life Insurance Co. Ltd .
- India
In India there is a joint venture between the ( Industrial Development Bank of India Limited ) (48 percent), the Indian Federal Bank (26 percent) and the Ageas (26 percent). The IDBI Federal Life Insurance Co Ltd has offered the first insurance products in March of 2008. At the end of March 2009 there were 31 branches. In addition to classic life insurance, microinsurance is also primarily offered.

Ageas Insurance International (50% + 1 share) and BNP Paribas Assurance (50% - 1 share) have founded F&B Insurance Holdings , which in turn have a stake (50% + 1 share) in UBI Assicurazioni in addition to UBI Banca (50% - 1 share).
- Ukraine
The Fortis Life Insurance Ukraine was at the investment company in September 2010. Horizon Capital sold.
