The village of Agia Kyriaki ( Greek Αγία Κυριακή ( f. Sg. )) Is located in the southwest of the Greek island of Samos at the foothills of the Kerkis in a small, closed valley that ends by the sea at the small coastal town of Limnionas . The closest villages are Kallithea 5 km northwest and Ormos Marathokambou 7.2 km east.

Due to the remote location, monasticism in the form of the lavra developed early on the Kerkis . The area was devastated by the former Byzantine navigator and in the service of the Saracens Leo of Tripoli together with his comrade, Damianos, who converted to Islam. Lavra was restored in the 10th century by the monk Pavlos Latrinos from Stylos Monastery in the Latmos Mountains . In the 13th century the monk Nikiforos Vlemmydis, teacher of the Byzantine emperor Theodoros II Laskaris lived in the area.

Today's church is built on the foundations of an ancient temple. About 300 m to the south are the remains of the Agios Georgios church with an old cemetery. The remains of the foundations in the surrounding area are probably monastery cells.

The inhabitants live from growing olives and raising sheep and goats.

With the implementation of the community reform according to the Kapodistrias program in 1997, Agia Kyriaki was incorporated into the community of Marathokambos . After the merger of the former municipalities on the island after the administrative reform in 2010 to form the municipality of Samos ( Δήμος Σάμου Dímos Sámou ), Agia Kyriaki is now divided into two municipalities in two municipalities, Dytiki Samos .
