Agnes Friesinger

Agnes Friesinger (born October 27, 1984 in Bad Reichenhall ) is a former German speed skater who specializes in short distances .

Agnes Friesinger belongs to a world-famous ice skating family. Her parents are the Polish Olympian Janina Korowicka and the German participant in the Junior World Championships Georg Friesinger . Best known is her sister Anni Friesinger-Postma , the three-time Olympic champion, but also her brother Jan Friesinger is a professional speed skater. Like her sister, she started for the Inzell team .

Agnes Friesinger made her debut in December 2005 at the World Cup on her home track in Inzell . After two placements in the first 15 on the first day (over 500 and 1000 meters), she ran on the following day on the sixth (500 meters) and seventh (1000 meters) place. With further placements among the top twenty in the following World Cup in Collalbo , she was able to qualify for the season finale in Heerenveen over 1000 meters. Her start of the 2006/07 season was less successful, after which she was first downgraded to the B World Cup. In December 2007, Friesinger ended her career. In 2011 she lived in Finland with her boyfriend, the former Finnish speed skater Risto Rosendahl .
