Jan Friesinger (born November 20, 1980 in Bad Reichenhall ) is a former German speed skater who specializes in middle distance .

Jan Friesinger comes from a skating family. His parents are the Polish Olympian Janina Korowicka and the German junior world championship participant Georg Friesinger, who died in 1996 . Best known is his sister Anni Friesinger-Postma , the three-time Olympic champion, but also his sister Agnes Friesinger professionally speed skating.

At the Junior World Championships in 2000 in Seinäjoki , Friesinger was third in the all-around competition. In November 2000 he also made his debut in the World Cup in Berlin . Although he can always achieve isolated successes, such as placing in the top ten in the World Cup, he has not yet been able to assert himself internationally. He usually commutes between the A and B groups of the World Cup. He achieved his best results with two second places and one third place, not in individual races, but in team races. Once, in 2002, he took part in the Winter Olympics.

Friesinger was more successful at the national level. He was five times German champion, eight times runner-up and three times third. In 2010 he ended his career. In 2011 he lived in Norway.
