Even Gabrielsen Wetten (born August 12, 1982 in Hamar ) is a Norwegian speed skater specializing in sprints and middle distance .
Even Wetten made his debut in the World Cup in his hometown of Hamar in November 2001. In the World Cup he has only been placed in the top three three times to date (November 2006). That is why his victory on March 5, 2005 at the World Championships in Inzell on the 1000-meter course came unexpectedly. The following day he confirmed his exceptional form, which has never been achieved again in this form, with a third place over 1500 meters. He had his best World Cup season in 2005/06 when he reached 4th place in the overall World Cup on the 1000 meter course. Wetten is five times Norwegian champion, four times runner-up.
Wetten is an athlete ambassador for the development aid organization Right to Play .
