Aichbichl is a part of the municipality of Tyrlaching in the Upper Bavarian district of Altötting .

The desert is about two kilometers northeast of the main town on the open ground and is predominantly agricultural.

history

The place was officially designated as Aich in 1300 and Aichpüchlär in 1427 . The name of the place is derived from Eichenbichl (ahd .: buhil = small hill, hill) and describes a hill overgrown with oaks.

The Bavarian original cadastre shows Aichbichl in the 1810s as a single courtyard with a fountain in the north and a sky pond in the south. Today the pond has silted up and the courtyard has been extended by three farm buildings.
