Aidan Michael Caves (born January 3, 1995 in Vancouver ) is a Canadian cyclist.

Athletic career

Aidan Caves began cycling at the age of three, at the suggestion of his father. In 2012 he became a five-time Canadian junior champion on the track.

In 2014 and 2015, Caves was the Canadian elite champion in the team pursuit , and in 2016 he won a national individual title in the Omnium . In 2016 and 2017 he was each Pan American champion, 2016 in the Omnium, 2017 in the team pursuit, he also won silver in the Omnium. In 2016 he won the team pursuit together with Adam Jamieson , Jay Lamoureux , Bayley Simpson and Ed Veal at the Track Cycling World Cup 2016/17 in Apeldoorn . In 2018 he won bronze in the team pursuit at the Commonwealth Games together with Jay Lamoureux, Derek Gee and Michael Foley .

Trivia

In 2014 Aidan Caves appeared in the BBC series Commonwealth Games as himself.
