Adam Jamieson (born February 12, 1996 in Orillia ) is a Canadian cyclist who competes on track and road .

Athletic career

Adam Jamieson began cycling at the age of eleven, initially to train himself for endurance for alpine skiing . His older sister, who has been in a wheelchair since a car accident, inspired him with her perseverance.

Adam Jamieson's first international success was victory in the junior classification at the Trophée Center Morbihan , a race of the UCI Junior Nations Cup . In 2013 he started in the road world championships in the individual time trial and in the road race of the juniors. At the 2014 UCI Track World Championships for Juniors , he was a member of the Canadian junior foursome, which finished eighth. He is a member of the Canadian cycling program NextGen Track Endurance .

In 2016 Jamieson won the team pursuit at the Track World Cup 2016/17 in Apeldoorn together with Aidan Caves , Jay Lamoureux , Bayley Simpson and Ed Veal . In 2017 and 2018 he was each national champion in the team pursuit.
