Aitor Tornavaca Fernández , Aitor for short (born March 24, 1976 in Vitoria-Gasteiz ), is a Spanish football player who plays in the Spanish Segunda División B for Real Avilés .
Player career
The beginnings
Aitor began his career as a professional player at Sporting Gijón in 1996. With the B-Team he was a regular player in 1996/1997, but came only to a single use for the first team in the Primera División . Since he saw no possibility of further missions, Aitor changed clubs in the summer of 1997 to play for a year with the second division CD Leganés . There he played in half of all season games, but took the detour via the Segunda División B - Club UD Levante .
Second division
In the summer of 1999, Aitor returned to his ex-club, Sporting Gijón . However, since he only completed a third of the season's games, he finally left the Astruier at the end of the season. The next two years he stayed in the Segunda División and went to Real Jaén . When his team relegated bottom in 2002, he moved to SD Eibar . In his Basque homeland, however, he had only limited success with his team, so they were beyond good and bad at the end of the season twice in the table midfield.
Recreativo Huelva
In the summer of 2004, Aitor preferred to move to the Recreativo Huelva promotion candidate . In the second attempt, Aitor rose with his team in 2006 as first in the Primera División . He has played there for many years and is the team captain . Even after relegation in 2009 , he stayed with the club and has since played in the Segunda División .
