Aline de Lima (born October 23, 1978 in Caxias , Maranhão ) is a Brazilian singer , guitarist, lyricist , composer and producer.

Life

After starting her studies as a web designer in Stockholm, Aline de Lima turned to music, encouraged by the saxophonist Frank Chatona . Their first CD, Arrebol , was produced in New York by Vinicius Cantuária , who is considered to be the innovator of Bossa Nova . In addition to the drummer Paulo Braga (who played with Antônio Carlos Jobim ), the avant-garde guitarist Marc Ribot was there as a musician . Was published Arrebol on the French independent label Naïve, which also Cantuária and 2006 Carla Bruni be laid. In addition to ten of Aline de Lima's own songs, the CD also contains a cover version of the French title "Septembre" by Barbara .

As a guest she sings a duet with the Swedish singer Johan Christher Schütz on his CD Blissa Nova , released in 2007 on the Swedish record label Terrinha.

Her second CD Açaí will be released on April 8, 2008 in France. It was co-produced by the Japanese trumpeter, composer and arranger Jun Miyake , who has proven himself to be a connoisseur of Brazilian music with the album Innocent Bossa in the Mirror (2002) and through his collaboration with Noice guitarist Arto Lindsay . In addition to titles in Portuguese, Açaí also contains a song in French - Marin-Pêcheur (Fisherman) , text by Aline de Lima - and one in Swedish - Som Om Ingenting Har Hänt , text and music by Johan Christher Schütz .

In 2011 Aline de Lima released her third album "Maritima", which she recorded, arranged and produced herself on her own label Arrebol Music. With just a laptop, a few microphones and a Mini M-Box, she recorded the thirteen songs on the album with a total of 14 musicians between Rio de Janeiro, São Luís and Paris. With "Um Mar de Mar", "Maritima" contains a cover by the Cape Verdean artist and current minister of culture, Mário Lúcio , with whom de Lima also wrote the song "Lua de Janeiro". She composed the song "Madrugada" with the Brazilian singer and guitarist Marcio Faraco , who also lives in Paris, and there is a beautiful duet in "Flor de Brasilia" with the singer Flavia Bittencourt from de Lima's native Maranhão .

After living in Stockholm for two years , Aline de Lima has been based in Paris since 2000 and now works under the stage name "Alliye".
