Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha

Khun Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha ( Thai : อั ย ย วั ฒ น์ ศรี วัฒน ประภา; until 2012 Aiyawatt Raksriaksorn , born July 26, 1985 in Bangkok ) is a Thai entrepreneur, CEO and chairman of King Power and the president of Leicester City and Oud football clubs -Heverlee Lions . According to Forbes his wealth was in March 2019 about 5.9 billion US dollars .

Life

Aiyawatt was born in 1985 to Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha , the founder, owner and chairman of King Power, and his wife, Aimon Srivaddhanaprabha. He has three older siblings, brother Apichet and the sisters Voramas and Aroonroong. He went to a Catholic school in Bangkok and studied at Bangkok University . After receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration there, he started working for his father's company.

On October 27, 2018, his father died in a helicopter crash outside King Power Stadium after Leicester City's home game against West Ham United . On August 8, 2019, he took over the position of President of Leicester City, which his father held from 2010 to 2018, and that of Oud-Heverlee Leuven.

Others

He received an Honorary Doctorate from De Montfort University in 2014 for his business activities and contribution to the community in the City of Leicester .

Srivaddhanaprabha is a Buddhist and was ordained a monk for one month in 2015 in the Thepsirin Buddhist temple in Bangkok.

He is a polo player and won a silver medal with Thailand's polo team at the 2017 Southeast Asian Games .
