The AMD Akademie Mode & Design forms the design department of the private Fresenius University . With locations in Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Wiesbaden (start 2019), Munich and Berlin, AMD is one of the largest private face-to-face universities in Germany and, together with the Fresenius University, is based in Idstein . Accredited study programs as well as training and further education programs in the fields of design , fashion , communication and industry-specific management are part of their educational offer.

Course offer

AMD and the Design Department of the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences offer the bachelor's programs in Fashion Design (BA) , Fashion Design (BA), Fashion and Design Management (BA), Fashion Journalism and Communication (BA) and AMD Design School offers the bachelor's degree programs Spatial Concept & Design (BA), Product Design (BA), Brand and Communication Design (BA) and Design and Innovation Management (BA). In addition, the Master’s degrees Fashion and Product Management (MA), Fashion and Retail Management (MA) and Sustainability in Fashion and Creative Industries (MA) are offered.

The fashion journalism / media communication training course with the optional bachelor's degree (Hons) Fashion Management and Communication extends the academy program. The further education programs styling, directing and fashion photography round off the educational offer of the academy.

Partner universities

AMD cooperates with numerous international partner universities. In addition, AMD brings international teachers from London, Milan and Paris to the house for workshops and seminars and offers students an internationally oriented network.
