Akam (born May 20, 1993 in Abbotsford (British Columbia) , Canada ) is an Indo-Canadian wrestler . He is currently under contract with the WWE and appears regularly on their show Raw . His greatest achievement to date has been receiving the Raw Tag Team Championship .

Wrestling career

World Wrestling Entertainment (since 2014)

In October 2014, he signed a contract with WWE and began training as a wrestler at the WWE Performance Center . He made his in-ring debut at an NXT Houseshow in Orlando, Florida on April 4, 2015 and participated in a Battle Royal. In February 2016, he and Rezar formed the Authors of Pain Tag Team.

Akam and Rezar made their NXT TV debut on NXT TakeOver: The End on June 8, 2016 when they attacked American Alpha Chad Gable and Jason Jordan . After this attack, they introduced Paul Ellering as their manager. Together they won the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic after defeating TM-61 on NXT TakeOver: Toronto. On January 28, 2017, they won the NXT Tag Team Championship from #DIY Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa . They lost the title to SAnitY on August 19, 2017 after 203 days of reign.

The Authors of Pain made their main roster debut on Raw on April 9, 2018. They won their first fight on the main roster against Heath Slater and Rhyno . After that, they separated from their manager. On the September 3, 2018 Raw episode, they shortened their tag team name to AOP. On November 5, 2018, they won the Raw Tag Team Championship from Seth Rollins because he was playing a handicap match. The reign lasted 35 days and then lost the title to Bobby Roode and Chad Gable on December 10, 2018 . In January 2019, he suffered a leg injury. They returned for a match in June 2019. Since then, various clips have been given to inform them of their return. However, this did not materialize due to injuries.
