Akihiro Satō ( Japanese 佐藤 晃 大 , Satō Akihiro ; born October 22, 1986 in Zama , Kanagawa Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Akihiro Satō learned to play football in the university team of Tokai University Kumamoto . He signed his first contract with Tokushima Vortis in 2009 . The club from Tokushima , a city in the Tokushima prefecture of the same name on the island of Shikoku , played in the second highest league in the country, the J. League Division 2 . By the end of 2011 he had played 79 second division games for Vortis, scoring 18 goals. In 2012 he moved to league competitor Gamba Osaka . With the club from Suita , he became champion of the second division in 2013 and rose to the first division. In the following season he celebrated the Japanese championship with Osaka. In the same year he won the J. League Cup and the Emperor's Cup with Osaka . In the final of the J. League Cup they won 3: 2 against Sanfrecce Hiroshima , in the final of the Emperor's Cup they won 3: 1 against Montedio Yamagata . In 2015 he again signed a contract with his former club Tokushima Vortis.
