The Akköprü Dam ( Turkish Akköprü Barajı ) is a dam on Dalaman Çayı in southwest Turkey that was completed in 2009 .

It was built 24 km east of Köyceğiz near the villages of Akköprü and Beyobasi in Mugla Province . Its purpose is to irrigate an area of 14,192 hectares, generate electricity and control floods for the city of Dalaman and its airport .

The dam, made of loose rock material, is 112.5 m high above the river bed. The total height of the structure (above foundation level) is given as 162.5 m.

The hydropower plant with its two Francis turbines has an output of 57.5 MW twice, a total of 115 MW, and is expected to produce an annual energy volume of 343 GWh from 2008.

The first plans date from 1980, but the construction work did not begin until 1996. The final completion took place in 2009. At the end of 2010 the hydropower plant went into trial operation. 195.81 million m³ of the total storage space can be used as usable space in the company.
