Akshaye Khanna ( Hindi , अक्षय खन्ना, Akṣay Khannā, Akshay Khanna ; born March 28, 1975 in Mumbai , Maharashtra ) is an Indian film actor . He is a son of the actor Vinod Khanna ; his brother Rahul Khanna is also an actor.

Career

Akshaye Khanna completed an apprenticeship at the Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting Institute. He had his first appearance in 1997, at the age of 22, in Himalaya Putra , a production by his father. For his role in Border , which appeared in the same year , he received the Filmfare Award for best debut. He then got other roles, including in the films Taal , Aa Ab Laut Chalen and the thriller Humraaz . He also played in comedies, such as Hungama and Hulchul - A crazy love story .

He later returned to more serious productions, including Naqaab and Gandhi, My Father in 2007 . Race followed in 2008 and Short Cut in 2009 .
