action

Casino owner Sonia Chang puts up a missing person report because her little son Vicky has been missing for days. She is offering 2.5 million rupees as a finder's reward . This news comes right for Priya because she finds the little boy. She was still happy too soon, because the would-be actor Raj Malhotra gets in her way and wants a share of the finder's reward. So they make their way to Goa together to deliver Vicky to his mother there.

But then the blow hits them: In the villa, 36 China Town, they find Sonia dead. This is now a case for Inspector Karan, who soon comes across a whole series of suspects. In addition to Priya and Raj, these are the clumsy KK and his wife Ruby, the playboy Rocky, as well as the gambling addict Natwar and his younger wife Gracy. Almost all of them have left their mark on the house, making it difficult to present a credible alibi.

After extensive research, Karan reveals the real murderers. Sonia's servants, Mr. and Mrs. Lobo, were behind the murder. Their motive was Sonia's wealth, which would have been ascribed to them in their will if Vicky hadn't turned up. The suspects are relieved and Priya and Raj even adopt little Vicky, who is really dear to them.

criticism

(...) Despite all of these entertaining elements, "36 China Town" ultimately does not exhaust its potential. The pace is a bit slowed down, the middle section boring, the resolution too banal and some punch lines a shot in the void. Friends of crime comedies shouldn't stop themselves, however, because there are a few good moments to smile about and a large parade of stars. And in between the music of Himesh Reshammiya, which is particularly worthwhile. (from molodezhnaja.ch)
