Aktütün (Kurd. Bezele) is a hamlet in southeastern Anatolia in the immediate vicinity of the Iraqi border. It is located in the Şemdinli district in the Hakkâri province . Administratively, the hamlet belongs to the village of Konur . Aktütün became known throughout Turkey through an attack by the Kurdistan Workers' Party on the Jandarma guard of the same name in the immediate vicinity of the hamlet in 2008. 38 people, including 23 attackers, were killed. The PKK filmed the attack and published the sequences on its Roj TV channel .
