Aktse is a hiking hut belonging to the Swedish hiking club Svenska Turistföreningen and is located next to a mountain farm of the same name at an altitude of 550 meters on the north shore of Lake Laitaure .

The hiker's hut has 34 beds, spread over two houses. During the season from mid-February to early May and from mid-June to mid-September it is managed by a hut keeper. Outside of this time, a security room with an emergency telephone is open. There is a sale of provisions during the season.

Aktse is located on the Kungsleden , a long-distance hiking trail in the historic Swedish province of Lapland . The distance to the hiking hut Sitojaure on the lake of the same name in the north is 13 kilometers. Four kilometers of the way lead across the lakes Gåbddåjavrre and Gasskajavrre . The route can either be rowed or covered by a motorboat, which is subject to a fee. The motorboat transport is carried out by the Sami from the neighboring Samendorf, which is managed by several families together . To the south, after 24 kilometers, you come to the Pårte des Svenska Turistföreningen hiking hut . Of these, three kilometers are boat transport across the Laitaure. Here, too, you can either row or take the motorboat. To the southeast there is a path to the village of Tjåmotis on the road from Kvikkjokk to Jokkmokk . 20 of the 30 kilometers can be covered by car.

Aktse is considered to be the gateway to the Sarek National Park . From there you can start hiking to Rapadalen , a valley in the Sarek National Park. Alternatively, it is also possible to take a motorboat to the national park border in Rapadal.

A popular day trip from Aktse leads to Skierffe , which offers a beautiful view of the Rapa Delta. This is where the Rapadal flows into the Laitaure. The way to the Skierffe leads past an old sacrificial site.

Aktse is the Lule Sami word for the number nine. The name for this place could come from the fact that nine bears were once killed above Aktse. Another explanation is that the distance from the northern tip of Tjaktjajaure (lake) to Aktse is approximately nine kilometers.
