al Ahli Club is a football club from Manama in Bahrain . The club currently plays in the country's highest league, the Bahraini Premier League . The club plays its home games in the Al-Ahli Stadium. The club has won five championships so far, the last one in 1996. Besides the Muharraq Club , the club is one of the largest in the country. The derbies between the two clubs have the highest attendance figures in the league.
In addition to the football department, the club is also known for its good sports departments in handball , volleyball and basketball .
