Start time

The club was founded in 1964. Presumably he started in the second division. In the 1969/70 season it was possible to leave the second division as champions for the first time. After the 1971/72 season in the first division, it went down again. Then there were two more relegations as well as promotions at short intervals until the team was able to stay in the first division until the end of the 80s. But this was probably also due to the fact that there were no relegated members from 1979 to 1984. He also won the Federation Cup in 1973/74 and the Emir Cup in 1986 . After the 1988/89 season, the eighth and last of the league went down for the first time. In the following season 1989/90 but succeeded the direct rise as master.

Post-Gulf War period

Due to the second Gulf War , there was not a complete 1990/91 season, which means that the club only had regular play operations again in the 1991/92 season. This season only the last place in group A was achieved again (this season the first division was divided into two groups), but in the relegation against al-Nasr (group B) the place in the first division could be kept. After the 1992/92 season it finally went one league lower with a season performance of only four points. In the 1994/95 season with an enlarged field of participants, participation in the first division was possible again. Here the team reached a place in the table in midfield as a conclusion. For the next season, a new mode in the league together with the other eight last clubs went down again together. There the season was played to the end with the clubs in the second division. After the 1999/2000 season things went down again after normal league and play-off groups. The poor performance lasted until the next season, where the team could only reach the penultimate place in the table in the end.

Long phase in the second division

The next seasons shouldn't get any better either, in some cases there wasn't even a double-digit number of points to show at the end. For the 2003/04 season it went back to the first division due to the renewed increase in the field of participants. In the following seasons, the league was then gradually reduced in size. The club should always survive this. In the end, after the 2006/07 season, due to the lost relegation, it was the last in the league to go down again. Only after the 2012/13 season in which the club was again champions of Division One for the first time, it went up again. Until the end of the 2016/17 season there was no second division, which meant that the team could not be relegated. But in preparation for the following season, the league was then divided in the middle, which was the first time there was a relegation. After the rise due to the 2017/18 season, things went straight back down after the next season.

The club also took part in the Al-Khurafi Cup but was never successful in this.
