Al-Ettifaq ( Arabic نادي الاتفاق, DMG Nādī l-Ittifāq ) is a Saudi Arabian sports club from Dammam founded in 1944 . The men's soccer team plays in the Saudi Professional League . The home games are played in the Prinz-Mohamed-bin-Fahd-Stadion , which offers space for 35,000 visitors. The club's greatest success is winning the championship twice, in 1983 and 1987. In recent years, most of the time they found themselves in the middle of the table and were unable to achieve any notable successes. After finishing ninth in the previous year, the 2010/11 season ended in third place. In the summer of 2015, the German coach Reinhard Stumpf took over the team.
