Alfred Nicholas "Al" Cervi (born February 12, 1917 in Buffalo , New York , † November 9, 2009 in Rochester , NY) was an American basketball player and coach.
Between 1937 and 1953 Cervi played in the NBA and the previous NBL league for the team of the Buffalo Bisons (NBL) , Rochester Royals and Syracuse Nationals . Cervi was six feet tall and played in the position of point guard . After his active career he was coach of the Syracuse Nationals and led them to win the 1955 NBA title.
