al-Masry ( Arabic المصري al-Masrī , often also al-Masri ) is an Egyptian football club from Port Said .
The club was founded in 1920 and plays its home games in the Port Said Stadium, which now holds 18,000 spectators . The club colors are green and white.

Riots on February 1, 2012
On February 1, 2012, there was a championship game in Port Said against al Ahly Cairo to heavy fan riots after the game between the teams al-Masry and al-Ahly had ended with a score of 3: 1. Spectators stormed into the field and chased players from the Cairo club al-Ahly. At least 1,000 people were injured and at least 77 people were killed.
The Egyptian Football Association closed the al-Masry club for two seasons and the local stadium for three years. After the decision was announced, violent clashes broke out again on the night of March 23, 2012, with a young person fatally injured.
