The Al Salamah is a 139 meter long mega yacht that was owned by Sultan ibn Abd al-Aziz , the late Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia . It is number 11 (as of 2018) on the list of the longest motor yachts .
History and equipment
The Al Salamah was built in 1999 as the Lürssen project MiPos (Mission Possible) at HDW in Kiel and completed at Lürssen in Bremen. The yacht has a helipad, an outdoor pool and large reception rooms. The living space of 8,000 m² is divided into 80 cabins. The outdoor area is 3,300 m² and covered with teak . 96 crew members are responsible for the well-being of the residents and the yacht.
Technical specifications
The Al Salamah is equipped with two MTU 1163 V20 diesel engines, each developing an output of 8,717 hp . It is driven by two propellers, and there is also a bow thruster.
