Alan Hale junior (born March 8, 1921 in Los Angeles , California as Alan Hale McKahan , † January 2, 1990 ibid) was an American actor .

Life

Hale was born the son of the well-known Hollywood supporting actor Alan Hale and was called Alan Hale, Jr. because of the same name until the death of his father.He already appeared in various Hollywood films in his childhood, but unlike many other child stars, he also managed the seamlessly Transition to the character subject .

He ran a restaurant in which he used to greet guests in his skipper outfit, i.e. with the characteristic captain's hat. He also auctioned off many of these hats and donated the proceeds to charitable causes. On the other hand, the commitment to this role made it difficult for him to find other engagements.

From 1968 to 1969 he played alongside Bob Denver , who would always be remembered as Gilligan , in a very similar role on the sitcom The Good Guys . In the 1970s and 1980s, he had numerous guest appearances in various TV series.
