action

Pilots Mike Dandridge and his friend, flight instructor Al Reynolds, set up a private airline and purchase a discarded military aircraft to transport goods overseas. One day Mike meets the budding pilot Maggie Colby at Al's flight school. During a transport flight to Japan, the two fall in love and get married. Al leaves the joint venture and joins the Air Force.

After Maggie becomes pregnant and Mike presses him to stay home, Mike hires young pilot Nikki Taylor. Al and Mike quarrel because Mike doesn't care enough about the baby and doesn't want to give up flying. They also argue about the course of the marriage and the continuation of the business.

Dissatisfied with the current state of their marriage and fearing that Mike might start an affair with Nikki, she decides to take a flight with the young pilot herself. Mike, who is responsible for looking after her daughter, takes on a lucrative job. When he can't get care for the child, he takes the baby on the flight. He is taking a high risk when difficulties arise due to thick fog during landing in London.

Maggie, also on the approach for landing in London, also has problems with the fog, despite Mike's support in the tower, the machine crashes during the approach and burns out completely. Maggie was able to escape the plane at the last minute using the ejection seat and survived the crash unharmed. After an initial argument about the mutual unreason of the couple, they rediscover their love for one another.
