action

After the monster, riddled with bullets, was captured seriously injured, the amphibian is transferred to the Ocean Harbor Oceanarium in Florida, where it is carefully examined by Professor Clete Ferguson and ichthyology student Helen Dobson. Helen and Clete fall in love quickly, which is met with considerable displeasure with Joe Hayes, who captured the monster. The amphibian, which is gradually recovering, also begins to widen eyes at Helen, causing Ferguson to get stuck in his efforts to examine the creature more closely. It happens as it has to come: the monster escapes from its water tank and kills Joe on the run, who stood in its way. Then the being escapes in the open sea.

But monsters are only human, and the one here, inflamed in love for Helen, now has to constantly think of the attractive young scientist. It rises from the oceanic water and begins to follow Helen at every turn. It inevitably gets in the way of Ferguson, Helen's new companion. At a favorable moment, the monster stomps into a restaurant with a sea view, where the couple is attending a party, and steals Helen without further ado. Clete Ferguson runs after the creature, but it can escape to the beach with its female prey. There it is found by Clete and the police and dies (until the next sequel, The monster is among us ) in the hail of bullets from state power, while Clete frees his Helen from the clutches of the monster.
