Nestor Paiva
Nestor Paiva (born June 30, 1905 in Fresno , California - September 9, 1966 in Hollywood , California) was an American actor .
Life
Paiva appeared in over 250 films and television series from the 1930s to the 1960s, including The Beverly Hillbillies , Mini-Max, and Addams Family . One of his best-known roles was that of Captain Lucas in the horror film The Horror of the Amazon , which he also took on in the sequel The Revenge of the Monster . He was also known for the role of the innkeeper in Walt Disney's TV series Zorro , which he embodied in a total of 14 episodes between 1957 and 1961.
Paiva married a Peruvian woman and had two children with her, Joseph and Caetana, who played with their father in the 1956 film At Any Price . Joseph later became a singer in Peru . Paiva died of cancer in California in 1966 at the age of 61.
