Life
Curt Ackermann was a successful theater actor on the stages of Berlin (among others in the Renaissance theater ). In 1933 he also made his film debut, but remained a rare guest in film and television productions. Among other things, he played in The Mysterious Mister X in 1936 .

For a long time he was the standard voice of well-known actors such as Cary Grant (including Charade , A Touch of Mink or Above the Roofs of Nice ), Burt Lancaster (including Maasai - The Great Apache , Trapez or Vera Cruz ), Jeff Chandler (among others Attila , The Broken Arrow or Breakthrough on Command ), Vittorio de Sica (among other things The Amorous Adventures of Moll Flanders or Fathers and Sons ), David Niven ( The Pink Panther or Always the Darn Women ) and Gregory Peck . He also dubbed John Wayne ( The Comancheros and The Sea Fox ) and the early films by Robert Mitchum (including Duel in the Atlantic , Bandido and The Night of the Hunter ). In 1982 ARD dedicated a portrait to him as a voice actor for Cary Grant in the series Die deutsche Demokratie.
In addition, Curt Ackermann worked as a dubbing author and director and wrote, among other things, the German dialogue versions of Breakfast at Tiffany's and A Touch of Mink .
