Tilo von Berlepsch

Tilo von Berlepsch , also Thilo von Berlepsch , (born December 30, 1913 in Kassel , † April 8, 1991 in Basel , Switzerland ) was a German actor .

He came from the Berlepsch family and was a grandson of the ornithologist Hans Hermann Carl Ludwig von Berlepsch . He made his debut as an actor in Berlin in 1933 . He was able to continue his long stage career after 1945 at numerous German theaters.

In 1938 he stood in front of the camera for the first time in Prussian Love Story , but it was only after the war that he became a frequently cast film actor. He played mostly high-ranking personalities, often aristocrats, public prosecutors, lawyers, but also servants. In the Luther television film Der Reformer (1968) he played the castle captain Hans von Berlepsch , an early member of the von Berlepsch family. He was married to actress Eike Siegel , who was born in 1919 .

Tilo von Berlepsch was buried anonymously in the Lichtental cemetery in Baden-Baden .
