content

Since the grand palace hotel opened in a romantic wine town on the Rhine, guests have stayed away from the “Zur Linde” inn. Therese Hübner, the landlady of the linden tree, wants to keep the inn for her three daughters at all costs. But the bank behind the palace hotel doesn't want to give her a loan, but rather buy the "linden tree" to turn it into a milk bar.

The eldest daughter, Susanne Hübner, has meanwhile secretly got engaged to the medical student Werner Schulenburg. His father is the general manager Paul Schulenburg, an old childhood friend of the Linden landlady. When Susanne drives back home, Werner follows her and lets himself be employed incognito in the "Linde" as a waiter.

When the three girls finally spend an evening partying in the palace hotel, their mother is so disappointed that she decides to sell the inn.

But the girls have other plans and don't want to give up the "Linde". Therefore, together with their friends, they decide to reroute the procession to the annual wine festival in order to save the "Linde" after all. In the meantime, Susanne's friend Werner ensures that the "Linde" is supplied with food and drinks by the palace hotel. When the wine festival was held in the "Linde" in the evening, as always before, and one of the daughters was crowned wine queen, the future of the "Linde" seemed secure again.
