Alan Ladd Junior

Alan Ladd junior (born October 22, 1937 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American film producer .

His father was the actor Alan Ladd , one brother is David Ladd . He began his career as a producer in 1970 with the film Die Krücke . In the 1970s he was the president of Twentieth Century Fox . During this time, classics such as Star Wars were created , which he promoted in the difficult history of its creation. In 1979 he left Fox to start his own production company, The Ladd Company . This brought out Blade Runner , among others . In 1984 the Ladd Company went bankrupt.

1985 Ladd moved to Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer / United Artists , and became Chairman and CEO of Pathé Entertainment . During his time at MGM / UA, the successful films A Fish Named Wanda , Moonstruck , and Thelma & Louise were produced.

In the early 1990s, the Ladd Company resumed its work. In 1996, Ladd was awarded an Oscar for Braveheart . In 2007 he received his own star on the Walk of Fame . In the same year the Ladd Company finally ceased its work.

Alan Ladd Jr. is married for the second time and has four children.
