Alan Seymour (born June 6, 1927 in Perth , Western Australia , † March 23, 2015 in Sydney ) was an Australian screenwriter .

Seymour wrote screenplays since 1960 , but only his adaptation of the " Chronicles of Narnia ", which he took on behalf of the BBC between 1988 and 1990, made him known.

He also wrote for Enid Blyton's " Five Friends " (1997).

Award

Seymour was nominated in 1991 for his work on The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Armchair for the BAFTA Award together with Paul Stone and Alex Kirby , but received nothing.
