CHIO Aachen

The Albert-Vahle-Halle is a riding arena on the show grounds of the Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein in the Sportpark Soers in Aachen . It is used, for example, for the vaulting competitions during the annual CHIO Aachen and for the annual “Salut Festival” young jumping competition. The hall has almost 1200 seats and a 27 × 74 meter sand court. Along with the main stadium , which is used for show jumping , and the Deutsche Bank Stadium , which is used for dressage , the hall is one of the three main competition venues of the CHIO Aachen and the smallest of them. The vaulting tests of the 2006 World Equestrian Games in Aachen also took place there.

environment

Together with the Tivoli home ground of the Alemannia Aachen football club, which opened in 2009, and the Tivoli ice rink , the CHIO site forms the Soers sports park . The sports park is located in the north of Aachen and can be easily reached by car via the B57 and the nearby A4 .
