Albert Colomb (born December 15, 1878 in Paris , † October 27, 1941 in Bunzac ) was a French racing driver .

Career

Albert Colomb was one of the automobile pioneers who competed in the first Le Mans 24-hour race in 1923 . Colomb was a works driver at Corre-La Licorne and in 1923 team partner of Corre racing car designer Waldemar Lestienne . The duo achieved 28th place overall on a Corre La Licorne EV 12CV. At the three subsequent Le Mans starts, Colomb failed to cross the finish line.

His best result in a car race he achieved at the 24-hour race of Spa-Francorchamps in 1924 , where he finished fifth overall with Louis Balart .
