Albert Hall (athlete)

Albert Hall ( Albert William "Al" Hall ; born August 2, 1934 in Manchester , Massachusetts , † October 9, 2008 in Tonopah , Nevada ) was an American hammer thrower .

He won gold three times at the Pan American Games: 1959 in Chicago , 1963 in São Paulo and 1971 in Cali .

His best placement at the Olympics was a fourth place in Melbourne in 1956 . In 1960 in Rome he came in 14th place, in 1964 in Tokyo he was twelfth, and in 1968 in Mexico City he was eliminated from the qualification.

In 1962 and 1963 he was American champion.
