Albert Joseph Kempster (born August 23, 1874 in Leighton Buzzard , Bedfordshire , † January 2, 1952 in Saint Martin , Jersey ) was a British marksman .

successes

Kempster took part in the Olympic Games in London in 1908 and in Stockholm in 1912 . In 1908 he finished the competitions on the running stag in single and double shots in fifth place. With the free pistol over 50 m he finished 24th in the individual in 1912, while he was with Hugh Durant , Horatio Poulter and Charles Stewartwon the bronze medal in the team competition behind the US and Swedish teams. With the army revolver over 30 m, he took third place in the team competition with Durant, Poulter and Stewart, this time behind Sweden and Russia. With 285 points he was the second best shooter over 30 m and the third best shooter of the team with 452 points over 50 m.
