Albert Oberloher (born July 21, 1962 in Haag in Upper Bavaria ) is a German pop singer .

life and career

Albert Oberloher learned to play the accordion at the age of twelve. At the age of 15 he formed his first band with friends. In addition to his musical activities, he was very active in sports. At the age of 16 he was the second best German alpine skier and played football in the third Bayern league . At the age of 20 he completed an apprenticeship as a potter and ran his own pottery workshop for a few years. Oberloher worked for the Federal Border Police for many years and attended the sports school there.

In 1988 Oberloher joined the group Wind and was a singer, musician and band leader there. With her he won the preliminary round of the Eurovision Song Contest in 1992 and took part in this competition in Malmö . They reached number 16.

In the summer of 1997 Oberloher founded the musical project "Herzpiraten", which was also registered as a GmbH - with him as managing director. Over a period of 10 years, this "Herzpiraten GmbH" developed into a company specializing in music management, music consulting and This is where the Licht group, the singer Jasmin and Rainer Hoeglmeier are exclusively represented in management and partly also in the publishing sector, and the booking for André Stade and Diana Sorbello is carried out.

In 1998, Oberloher took part in the German qualification for the Eurovision Song Contest with Wind. During this time he appeared in over 300 TV programs / shows and had more than 2000 live performances in all major halls in Germany and Europe as a singer and musician. In autumn 2008 he left the Wind group and founded the new group Licht in early 2009 with his friend Dennis Wurmdobler.

During the NDR TV production "Die Nacht des Deutschen Schlagers" in Bad Segeberg in 2007, Oberloher met the background singer Michaela Krull (born January 4, 1973). Both became a couple and in 2008 he moved from Kelheim to Schwäbisch Gmünd to live with his partner. Michaela was a short-term member of the group Wind in 2008 and appeared as a singer in several TV appearances and concerts.

Michaela Krull has been a member of the Licht group since the beginning, alongside Albert Oberloher, lead singer Dennis Wurmdobler and Daniela Burghardt. On May 21, 2009 the group took part in the preliminary round of the Grand Prix of Folk Music on ZDF . Dennis Wurmdobler left the band in 2010, while Rainer Hoeglmeier has been the lead singer at Licht since May 2011. Hoeglmeier was Wind's first lead singer.

After a few rather unsuccessful songs and music videos by the Licht group in 2010/2011, Albert Oberloher opened a bowling center in Schwäbisch Gmünd through his music management company Herzpiraten GmbH, where he works as managing director together with his current wife Michaela, née Krull.

Private

Albert Oberloher was married to the singer Michelle from 1995 to 1999 , with whom he has a daughter. With his second wife Catherine, Oberloher also has two daughters. The divorce from Catherine took place in 2006. Today he lives with his third wife Michaela in Rechberg near Schwäbisch Gmünd.
