Albert Schnettler

Albert Schnettler (born March 22, 1896 in Hüsten ; † August 26, 1967 ) was a German economist .

Life

Schnettler first studied law and political science in Münster in 1921/22 and continued his studies in economics at the University of Cologne in 1923 . There he was promoted to Dr. rer. pole. PhD . Then he was assistant to Erwin Geldmacher and from 1930 lecturer for industrial management in Cologne. In 1933 he completed his habilitation in business administration.

From 1934 to 1945 he was, in addition to his teaching activities in Cologne, director of the Bonn transport and supply companies, the public railways Bonn-Godesberg, Bonn-Honnef and Bonn-Siegburg. Schnettler became a member of the NSDAP in 1936 (# 2227187).

1939 he was appointed as extraordinary professor appointed . From 1941 he was treasurer of the city of Bonn and at the same time, in addition to his teaching position in Cologne, took a teaching position at the University of Bonn at the chair for business administration. From 1945 he worked as a representative for the waterworks of the Cologne administrative district .

In 1947 he was offered a professorship for business administration at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster . In 1965 he retired .
