Albert Seelmann

Albert Seelmann (born May 30, 1852 in Wittenberg ; † August 4, 1919 in Magdeburg ) was a German lawyer in the financial administration, most recently President of the Royal Higher Customs Directorate for the Province of Saxony .

Life

Seelmann grew up in Stettin . He studied law in Heidelberg, where he was a member of the Corps Rhenania . In 1875 he joined the Prussian judicial administration and became a trainee lawyer in the Stettin Higher Regional Court, and in 1882 a court assessor. In 1883 he became a government assessor for the administration of indirect taxes and became an unskilled worker at the provincial tax office in Danzig and Munster , and in 1888 a councilor at the head office in Berlin. On August 1, 1899, he became senior government councilor at the provincial tax office in Munster, 1901 in Hanover, 1905 lecturer in the Prussian finance ministry, 1908 secret upper finance council, 1909 president of the royal higher customs directorate for the province of Saxony in Magdeburg. Seelmann was a member of the Disciplinary Court for non-judicial officials.
