Albert Ströck or - in Hungarian - Albert Török (born February 12, 1902 in Nagyvárad , Austria-Hungary , † May 9, 1971 in Switzerland ) was a Romanian - Hungarian football player . He played at least 41 games in the Hungarian Nemzeti Bajnokság . In 1930 and 1931 he won the Hungarian championship with Újpest Budapest , and in 1929 the Mitropa Cup .
Career
Ströck's career began in 1921 at Stăruința Oradea . There he played in the regional championship of Oradea and was able to qualify with his team for the finals in 1922 . In the quarterfinals, he and his team were eliminated from the playoff against Victoria Cluj . In the following years he had to give way with his club mostly CAO Oradea , where he moved himself in 1925. In 1926 he joined Fulgerul Chișinău before joining Újpest Budapest in 1927 in the Hungarian professional league . There he was able to qualify in the 1928/29 season for the Mitropapokal 1929 , which he was able to win with his team in the final against Slavia Prague . In the 1929/30 season he and his team secured the first championship title in the club's history. As a result, he qualified with Újpest for the Coupe des Nations 1930 , which he was able to win again with his team in the final against Slavia Prague. The title defense in the Mitropa Cup ended in the first round. In the 1930/31 season he was able to repeat winning the championship.
Ströck left Újpest in 1932. After a season at FC La Chaux-de-Fonds in the Swiss National League , he ended his career in 1934.
National team
Ströck played eight games for the Romanian national team . He made his debut on September 3, 1922 in a 1-1 friendly against Poland . From then on he belonged to the tribe of the national team. In 1923 he was three times in the starting lineup of national coach Teofil Moraru . On May 20, 1924, he scored the first goal for his country against Austria and was on the squad for the 1924 Olympic Games in Paris. There he and his team lost 6-0 to the Netherlands in the round of 16 . On April 25, 1926 he came to his last assignment for Romania in the friendly against Bulgaria , which was won 6-1 and where Ströck contributed the goal to 5-0.
After moving to Hungary in 1927, Ströck played a total of 14 games for the Hungarian national team by 1931 .
