Albert Thibaudet

Albert Thibaudet (born April 1, 1874 in Tournus , Saône-et-Loire department , † 1936 in Geneva ) was a French literary critic and writer.

Life

Thibaudet completed his school days at the Lycée Henri IV in Paris ( 5th arrondissement ). By his own admission, Henri Bergson was one of his most important teachers there.

In 1912 Thibaudet was able to publish an article in the literary magazine Nouvelle Revue Française (NRF) for the first time . After the First World War he could be found there regularly among the authors until the end of his life.

The philosopher Lucien Lévy-Bruhl made it possible for Thibaudet to take part in the first Cours universitaires de Davos - Davos university courses in 1928.
