Albert Watson

Albert Watson (* 1942 in Edinburgh , Scotland ) is a British photographer who has lived in the USA since 1976. Watson has been blind in one eye since birth. He became famous for his fashion and portrait photography . In particular, he shot celebrities such as Mick Jagger , Alfred Hitchcock , Kate Moss , Johnny Depp , Jack Nicholson , Naomi Campbell , Steve Jobs and Marilyn Manson .

“He is driven,” reports the Kulturreport (ARD) about him. “He has made over 250 cover photos for Vogue alone , thousands of fashion shoots, 650 advertising films and numerous music videos. His pictures have meanwhile become icons of photography. ”But his repertoire is far larger: His pictures of Morocco are also significant . One of his three illustrated books (the third will appear in 2006) is dedicated to this country. He is also the official court photographer of Mohammed VI.

His series about Las Vegas and about monkeys are also known .
