Alberto Maranhão

Alberto Frederico de Albuquerque Maranhão (born October 2, 1872 in Macaíba , Rio Grande do Norte , † February 1, 1944 in Angra dos Reis , Rio de Janeiro ) was a Brazilian politician .

Alberto Maranhão was governor of the state of Rio Grande do Norte from 1900 to 1904 and a second time from 1908 to 1914 . Between 1927 and 1929 he was a member of the federal parliament. The theater in the capital of Rio Grande do Norte, Natal , has been named after him since 1957.
