life and career
Alberto Rosende was born in February 1993 to Cristina Ferrucho and Alberto Carlos Rosende in South Florida, Florida , and grew up there. He has a younger brother named Diego. Rosende is of Colombian and Cuban descent. He graduated from New York University Tisch School of the Arts . There he completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts early in December 2014.
After Rosende appeared in several plays during his school days, he made his acting debut in the short film The Swing of Things in 2013 . In January 2015, he made a guest appearance on the crime series Blue Bloods - Crime Scene New York .
From 2016 to 2019, Rosende played the role of Simon Lewis in the freeform television series Shadowhunters . The series is based on the novel series Chronicles of the Underworld by Cassandra Clare .
